Consent to Electronic Records and Signatures

This disclosure is provided by Miles Management Corp, an Illinois corporation with its principal place of business in Chicago, Illinois ("Miles Management," "we," "us"). Before you sign documents electronically or receive records electronically through the Miles Management resident portal, federal law (the Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act, "ESIGN") requires that we provide you the following information and obtain your affirmative consent. Please read this disclosure and keep a copy for your records.

1. Scope of Your Consent

Your consent applies to the documents and records we make available or request your signature on through the portal in connection with your tenancy and your relationship with Miles Management, including: leases, lease amendments and addenda, rules, notices, disclosures, payment authorizations and receipts, and related communications (collectively, "Records"). Your consent remains in effect until you withdraw it.

2. Your Right to Paper Copies

You have the right to receive any Record on paper. To request a free paper copy of any Record, email legal@milesmgt.com or write to Miles Management Corp, Attn: Legal, [Street Address], Chicago, Illinois [ZIP], identifying the document you want. Requesting a paper copy does not by itself withdraw your consent to electronic Records.

3. Your Right to Withdraw Consent; Consequences

You may withdraw your consent to receive Records electronically and to sign electronically at any time, at no charge, by emailing legal@milesmgt.com or writing to Miles Management Corp, Attn: Legal, [Street Address], Chicago, Illinois [ZIP] stating that you withdraw your e-sign consent. Withdrawal takes effect within a reasonable time after we receive it. If you withdraw consent: (a) Records will thereafter be provided to you on paper and documents will be signed with ink on paper, which may slow delivery and completion; (b) your ability to use the portal's document and signature features will be limited or ended; and (c) withdrawal does not affect the legal validity or enforceability of electronic Records provided, or electronic signatures made, before the withdrawal took effect. Withdrawing e-sign consent does not terminate your lease or your ability to pay rent through the portal.

4. Hardware and Software Requirements

To access and retain electronic Records you need: a device (computer, tablet, or smartphone) with a current, supported web browser (a recent version of Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari) with JavaScript and cookies enabled; an internet connection; a valid email address at which you can receive messages from us; software capable of viewing PDF files (built into modern browsers); and, to retain copies, either a printer or sufficient storage to save PDF files. If our hardware or software requirements change in a way that creates a material risk that you will not be able to access or retain Records, we will notify you of the new requirements and give you the right to withdraw consent without charge.

5. Keeping Your Contact Information Current

You must keep a current email address on file so we can deliver Records and signature requests. You can update your email address and other contact information by contacting Miles Management at legal@milesmgt.com or through the portal. We are not responsible for delivery failures caused by an out-of-date email address you have not corrected.

6. How Your Consent Is Given and Evidenced

By checking the consent box and clicking the acceptance button, you (a) confirm that you can access this disclosure and view PDF documents in your browser, which reasonably demonstrates that you can access Records in the electronic form we use; (b) consent to receive Records electronically and to use electronic signatures for Records; and (c) agree that we may retain a record of your consent, including its date, time, IP address, and the version of this disclosure you accepted.
